Finally, I have found some time to test my new photo equipment a little bit more. So far, I have made only nail art and product photos, but this time, I decided to create a simple makeup look using two Dior products. Having the opportunity to test some of the best makeup out there at the moment made me want better makeup look pictures, so I gave it a shot in my new photo studio. For results – check out the pictures below! 🙂
Firstly, let me tell you that these product pictures were the first pictures I have taken in my new studio. You may not know, but for my birthday I got some photo equipment that allows me to prepare pictures for the blog even at night. Yap, I got two reflectors with ultra powerful bulbs, a new Canon 50mm lens and a tripod. Awesome gift, right? – once again, thank you to my lovely family who made my wish come true. 🙂 But… this review is actually about two Dior products I got this spring, so I decided to name this post Dior Spring 2016.
Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara – is the best mascara Dior has ever made. It volumizes and curls the lashes so spectacularly that I was truly speachless when I first tried it. The thing is, I have quite long lashes naturally, but I need some extra volume for sure, and this mascara is all I ever needed. It has a concave brush that delivers the lash-curler effect. its volume-boosting formula instantly plumps and shapes lashes for amazing curl. The formula is quite creamy. Removing is also easy – using a good makeup remover of course. It is available in four different shades, and the price is around 35€. In Slovenia you can check it out in Mueller, Nama and Maxi.
Dior Diorshow Colour & Contour Waterproof – wass a part of Glowing Gardens spring 2016 imited edition. It is 2in1 eyeshadow and liner. Based on this experience, I really need more Dior liners in my life. Because of my lid anatomy I can’t draw those super popular wings with a liner, so I am always looking for softer eyeliners. And this 157-Iris shade was a great match. The eyeshadow is grey based with sparkle – and we love sparkle for everyday look or when in hurry – and the liner is dark blue. This combo is waterproof – if I am honest, I haven’t tested this ability, but I liked a lot the final look, no hard edges with a touch of glimmer. Perfect. I am mostly using black liners, but this blue colour makes my blue eyes stand out even more, right? It was available in 5 different shades (I really hope you can still get them somewhere around).
What were your picks from Dior Spring 2016 collection? Have you bought anything or would like to try? Also, please let me know about the makeup look photos – what do you think? Are they decent at least? 🙂 Among all the comments I will choose one person who will get a little surprise – so feel free to comment! Thanks for reading! :*
