For today I have a very special post, which will be only in English. I made a collaboration post with my dear blogger friend Tatjana from the Taya – My Little Beauty World. You would probably think that we made some twin nails or something. No, we agreed on a matching makeup and manicure, where Taya has chosen the makeup part, and left me the manicure part. We both are crazy about neon colors, especially in these hot summer days, so we decided to do some neon yellow-green-blue makeup and manciure.
I will be showing you today only my manicure, and for Taya’s makeup you will have to check her blog. You will not regret it, because it is amazing! She also did a tutorial – and she does that quite often so don’t forget to subscribe! 🙂
Firstly I applied a coat of Dance Legend base coat, which is meant to even out the nail surface. Then I applied a coat of black nail polish – Catrice Black To The Routes -to my ring finger. I have painted all the other nails using Bourjois – White Spirit. I always use white base when I am doing gradients, because that make the colors pop out. As I have a tone of neon polishes, I have chosen this time my beloved Dance Legend neon polishes, because of their opacity. I needed some neons with good coverage, because I knew I was going for a gradient in this manciure. Before starting the gradient, I applied the Dance Legend Pure Manicure (it equals the liquid latex I was using before) on the cuticles. I did my usual gradient with a fan brush. Make sure the layers are completely dry before applying the next one. I applied over it a coat of Poshe (Yes, Poshe – only the bottle is from an old Seche), so it dries faster. For stamping I have chosen my lonley Lesly Plate – 115, which can be found in one of my favourite online shops – Hypnotic Polish. For stamping I have used my favourite Mundo de Unas polishes: Black, Neon Yellow, Neon Green, Turquoise and Neon Blue. You can get these amazing stamping polishes also at Hypnotic Polish. I am always impressed by these babies because they stamp soooo well. I removed the latex from my cuticles and did some fast clean up. In order to give my manicure a touch of holo effect, I decided to layer over it a coat of Literary Lacquers – I’m Drinking Stars. In the end, I applied another coat of Poshe.
Here are some photos of the products I used to create this manicure 🙂
What do you think about this manicure? I must say I was very happy when I saw it matches Taya’s makeup so much! Awesome! I think we can totally do it again using some other crazy neon colours.
