Which Nail Polish Is Safe During Pregnancy?

These nail polishes are known as ‘3-free’ and make it even safer to use nail polish during pregnancy. Popular brands like Essie, OPI and Sally Hansen all produce ‘3-free’ nail polishes. This means they do not contain the three potentially harmful chemicals that you might like to avoid when pregnant.

While some experts think exposure to nail polish could be harmful to your fetus, there’s no clear evidence that the occasional manicure or pedicure is unsafe. The good news is nail polishes by popular brands OPI, Sally Hansen and Essie are 3-free.

Generally Does Essie nail polish have formaldehyde? Like OPI, Essie is considered 3-free (free of toluene, formaldehyde, and DPB) but it also has several ingredients we aren’t fans of.
